A (vital) note about methodology

Picture
My ethos for working with dogs centers around one specific theme: autonomy.

I believe dogs have the right of choice to opt in or opt out of any activity. In order to ensure the dogs are as happy, confident, and safe as can be, I establish total autonomy throughout the training session. The dog can choose to participate or not, and their choice governs the flow of the session.

With this methodology, you and I will work together to develop the best path to enrichment for your dog in a truly bespoke approach.

About me

Would you believe I didn't have a dog until adulthood? Even so, it took no time for me to fall in love not only with my first dog but with the entire species.

My history of working with dogs begins with dog photography. Through hundreds of hours of sessions as well as volunteering with the local rescue, I realized my love for photographing dogs largely hinged on my love for understanding dogs and their behavior.

While a less traditional approach for entering the field, I currently hold
CPDT-KA® certification. The CCPDT is a certifying institution requiring members to "demonstrate mastery of humane, science-based dog training practices." My certification requires continuing education to ensure I'm consistently applying the most recent science-based methods to my training approach.
